✦ Synopsis

Design formulas, principles, and procedures for a multi-( ) beam parabolic torus reflector antenna PTRA are presented. A six-beam PTRA with 15Њ geostationary arc co¨erage for satellite communication is described. Experimental and theoretical radiation patterns are gi¨en. Six identical beams are obtained with low sidelobe and low cross-polarization le¨els. A comparison between the calculated and measured patterns of the central beam shows good agreement.
