ABSTRACTS

that basic anthropometric safety designs offer one of the possible ways to prevent such injuries. Task analysis shows that issues such as prevention of entanglement of the infant due to accidental folding and the non-straining configuration for mother are interconnected with each other. Consequently, they need to be tackled simultaneously. Research presented here is the basis for an improved construction which provides a safer design while maintaining the convenience of easy access in and out of the playpen as well as the ability to fold and easily transport or store the playpen.
