of 3 = 3 elements was fabricated and tested. The stability of the quasi-optical amplifier array was demonstrated. The gain of the active array is higher than the gain of passive array by approximately the gain of a simple amplifier. Using the measurement data, the EIRP and effective power were deter

✦ Synopsis
A theoretical approach and numerical simulation of a microstrip array for dual linear polarization are presented. The radiating element consists of two electromagnetic coupled patches fed by two microstrips that allow us to radiate two orthogonal polarized fields. The ( ) theoretical method is based on full-wa¨e analysis FWA together with ( ) the method of moments MoM : this approach is finalized to the realization of a numerical code that gi¨es the main features of the array, that is, high bandwidth and low cross-polarization le¨els.
