A new dual-band compact hybrid resonator antenna is proposed in this article. The analysis is based on electric-field and magnetic-field integral equations. In the proposed design, the structure uses a combination of a thin circular disk dielectric resonator (DR) and a microstrip-fed dog-bone slot.

Abstract
By introducing two orthogonal gaps to a uniplanar compact photonic bandgap structure, artificial magnetic conductor's resonance frequencies have been significantly reduced. Since this compact pattern needs slots with 0.05โmm width, the laser micromachining was explored to fabricate the prototypes. Reflection coefficients were measured through a WRโ137 waveguide. Considering the dominant waves propagating in a waveguide, a simulation method is introduced. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
