## Abstract In this study, a systematic and simplified design procedure for quasi‐Yagi antennas is presented. The design is based on the simple field and impedance matching among antenna components. This new antenna design is possible due to the newly developed ultra‐wideband balun. Two types of wi

## Abstract This letter presents a very compact (17.5 mm Γ— 24.2 mm or 0.18 Ξ»~0~ Γ— 0.24 Ξ»~0~) and wideband balun at 3 GHz designed using the derived closed‐form solutions. The EM‐simulated difference of the transmitted signals at two ports is less than 0.6 dB from 2.45 to 6 GHz (118% at 3 GHz). Base
