✦ Synopsis
The goal of this work is to obtain design equations, for a new design DroDosal of an inter-stage sluice gate. This design would control and stabilize the brine flow through a flashing stage of a multi-stage flash unit.
A theoretical approach is given, based on the two Dhasersmnentt~a eauation. The two-nhase momentum equation was utilized,to maximize the brine mass flux withthe sluice gate opening height. It%~s also utilized, under isentroDic and frozen flow conditions to obtain a void fracT tion, steam quality relationship, which is a basic requirement in the design equations of the sluice gates.
