โฆ Synopsis
Included in the list of supplemental water sources for one purveyor in central California is reclaiming by-product water from nearby oil field operations.
The availability and reliability of this "unconventional" water source attracted the attention of the Mission Hills CSD who retained Boyle
Engineering Corporation to investigate project feasibility.
Boyle concluded that it is feasible to reclaim oil-field by-product water for use as ground water basin recharge. Specific design parameters will be better defined in a 6 to 9 month pilot program which is required by regulatory agencies.
Mission Hill's project is a good example of innovative, resourceful identification of supplemental water sources for municipal uses. * All values in mg/l, with the exception of pH. ** Test data from lo/87 and l/91 (Appendix A).
