✦ Synopsis
The (4^{3} \Sigma_{g}^{+} v=4 \sim 3^{3} \Pi_{g} v=6) and (4^{3} \Sigma_{g}^{+} v=14 \sim 2^{3} \Pi_{1 g} v=68) perturbations of (\mathrm{Na}{2}) have been observed by perturbation facilitated optical-optical double resonance spectroscopy via (b^{3} \Pi{u}) (v^{\prime}=14) intermediate levels. Deperturbation of the (4^{3} \Sigma_{g}^{+} v=4 \sim 3^{3} \Pi_{g} v=6) interaction has been performed and deperturbed values of (T_{v}, B_{v}), and the rotation-electronic perturbation parameter have been obtained. The (4^{3} \Sigma_{g}^{+} v=14 \sim 2^{3} \Pi_{g} v=68) perturbation belongs to a local (2 \times 2) perturbation and the perturbation matrix element has been derived. Quantum interference has been observed in both the excitation and resolved fluorescence spectra into the (b^{3} \mathrm{II}_{u}) state. (c) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
