## Abstract **Summary:** Styrene‐isoprene‐butadiene rubber/montmorillonite nanocomposites were synthesized by the addition of toluene into clay and living anionic polymerization. These silicate layers (B‐M) were exfoliated within 30 min after polymerization initiation, whereas the layers in the nan
