β¦ Synopsis
In the reactive collrsion between Eu atoms and 02 rnolcculcs, Cu + 02 + EuO + 0, the product intensity dcpcnda strongly on tbc rclativc collislonal energy_ From a thrediold energy of 0.15 f 0.02 eV up to about 0.5 cV the raction is dommated by a compkx mechanism, whcn~~ above 0.5 eV an additiona rcactlon channc1 opens up, favounng B rebound mccll:tnism. A posslblc explanation for the dcpendcncc of rczcbvc cross suctions on colhslonal energy is given by the orbntation of the colhdmg partlclcs with respect to each other.
