✦ Synopsis

A silent allele PGM1(0) in three generations of a Polish family was indicated by an abnormal segregation pattern and by reduced enzyme activity on electrophoresis and densitometric assay. There was also found in this family the silent allele Fy0 in the Duffy system (the incompatibility in the mother-child pair).
