✦ Synopsis

Integrated gasi"er-molten carbonate fuel cell (IG-MCFC) o!ers a clean and e$cient route for power generation from coal. A molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) was assembled and its performance was tested with simulated coal gas. The output and the stability was found to be comparable to that with conventional feed gas. It was also observed that switching from one type of feed gas to another had only a marginal e!ect on the cell performance.
