โœฆ Synopsis

O

ver the last 20 years the global political approach to power systems has been influenced by the need to generate more electricity from renewable energy sources. During the same period energy generation and transmission systems have been deregulated/liberalised, a process which has increasingly removed them from national or centralised control. Generating power through smaller units also demands a changed control strategy for the distribution and transmission network [1]. This evolution has initiated discussions all over the world about the interface specifications for suppliers of energy to the electrical transmission networks -specifications usually described as national grid codes.
