## Abstract The Nโ€methylโ€Dโ€aspartate receptor (NMDAR) is fundamental to normal and pathological functioning of neurons. The receptor subunits are Nโ€glycosylated proteins synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) that fold, mature, and oligomerize as they transit through the secretory pathway. A
