✦ Synopsis

Considerable effect of the level of sustained compressive stress and Na2SO 4 solution attack on residual static modulus of elasticity and compressive strength was experimentally stated. The interaction effect of sulphate attack severity and the level of stress seems to be significant for the rate of concrete deterioration. Also, the character and rate of the creep-related deformations is distinctly affected by the level of stress and the severity of the attack. Besides, restraint swelling of concrete caused by sulphate attack was noted under compression.
