β¦ Synopsis
This work involves the estimation of the effect of the long range order parameter on the twinning stress of a binary alloy for the twinning mode of the disordered lattice. The effect is assumed to be the sum of two effects of ordering which are: (1) the change in stacking fault energy and (2) the difference in the structure relationships between the twin and the matrix. To estimate the effect of the latter a quasichemical model for the internal energy of ordering is proposed. The model is used to calculate the atomic bond energies and the change in stacking fault energy and twinning stress with the degree of order for Cu,Au from the existing thermodynamic data. The results are compared with experimental data for the twinning stress of Cu,Au.
R&sum&-Ce travail concerne l'estimation de l'influence du paramktre d'ordre g longue distance sur la contrainte de maclage d'un alliage binaire, pour le mode de maclage du reseau d&ordonn& On suppose que cette influence est la somme de deux effets de la mise en ordre qui sont : (I) la modification de l'knergie de defaut d'empilement (2) la ditT&ence des relations structurales entre la macle et la matrice. Pour pouvoir evaluer I'effet de cette dernikre, on propose un modele quasichimique de i%nergic interne de mise en ordre. On utilise ce modtle pour calculer les bnergies des liaisons atomiques et les changements de 1'6nergie de defaut d'empilement et de la contrainte de maclage en fonction du degrt: d'ordre dans Cu,Au, fi partir des donnees thermodynamiques existantes. On compare les r&ultats avec les valeurs experimentales de la contrainte de maclage dans Cu,Au.
