This comet was discovered on August 3 I by W. R. Brooks at Phelps, N:Y., and last seen on Oct. 5 at DunEcht Observatory. It was circular, 2' in diameter, of the 9 mag., slightly condensed at the centre, and very diffused around N2 2860.
