Three different samples of ZnO were prepared from the thermal decomposition, at 500ยฐC in N,, of three precursors, i.e. Zn(CH3C0,),.2H,0, Zn3(C,H,0,)2.2H,0 and Zn(N0s)2.6H,0. These oxide samples were characterized by XRD and IR spectroscopy and their surface area were calculated using the BET method.
