The resuscitation status of in-patients is an important consideration in older adult psychiatric wards. Local policies should exist for the making and documentation of these decisions. Audit may show that these policies are not being followed correctly. The implementation of a resuscitation status form may prove beneficial in ensuring that policies are adhered to.
