Zr9602 (isotopic concentration 90 per cent) was irradiated by slow neutrons in the Oak Ridge pile. The half-period of the niobium daughter element, chemically separated from zirconium, was found to be 72.1 ~ 0.7 rain. and that of Zr 97 to be 17.0 + 0.2 hr.
