โœฆ Synopsis

The rate constants for the deactivation of Ar 3Pz metastables by 26 different molecules were measured and the corresponding cross sections calculated. The measurements were done in a "flowing'. afterglow system; the Ar 3p* being produced by a low power microwave discharge. The concentration of Ar 'P2 is measured by light absorption at8115A
