## Abstract Preliminary tests of castanolide (I)(space group P2~1~2~1~2~1~ with Z=4) and epi‐castanolide (II)(space group P2~1~ with Z=2) concerning cytotoxicity and PAF antagonistic activity do not reveal any positive results.
