✦ Synopsis
DC Conductivity and Dielectric Properties of Nano-particles of Red Mercuric Iodide
DC conductivity and dielectric properties of consolidated nano-particles of red-HgI, have been studied. DC and AC conductivities have been found to be about 3 orders of magnitude larger than that reported for single crystals of red-HgI,. The enhancement in dielectric properties have been attributed to the defect structure of the particles due to excess surface stress and the structural anomaly of their surface.
