It's been decades since sunlight has touched NNYC and the combination of darkness and isolation has created a modern Sodom and Gomorrah, where crime and sin are hidden by the neverending shadows. However, as the darkness is finally beginning to lift, a serial killer begins to cut a bloody swath across the city. The NNYC police, riddled with corruption and apathy, are at a loss.
That's when the Mayor of NNYC contacts Detective John Phillips, a small-town Pennsylvania cop, who recently stopped his town's own high-profile serial killer single-handedly. Phillips, who has never been outside of his town, is quickly flown into the insanity that is New New York City.
