โฆ Synopsis
I prefer the woods because people suck
David
People suck. Theyre loud, annoying and selfish. I love my family, but sometimes I need to escape to the forest to get away from them. But now, an arsonist is targeting all of us, and the Montgomerys dont take that sort of thing lying down. They may drive me insane, but family is everything.
At least now weve got some help. At first, Id been relieved to have someone from the state available to help us. But the more time I spend with Ms. Claudia Phillips, the more I wonder if it might be time to come out of the woods forever and start taking a more active role in my own life.
Claudia
Ive struggled my whole life to navigate the boys club of fire and rescue. Now that Im leading the arson investigation in Montgomery Valley, I feel like Im right back where I started. Except this time the boys are family, which makes it even harder to assert any kind of authority.
The longer this drags out, the more Im convinced these guys are way too close to this case to be objective. Not that my own objectivity can be trusted, considering every time a certain Montgomery mountain man stands next to me, I turn into a pile of goo.
Am I really willing to give up everything Ive worked for to fall in love with him? Am I too late to even make that decision?
