A data logging system is described which has been used successfidly in monitoring traffic noise for 24 hours. This system is compact, quiet, and enables a rapid processing of fieM data. It produces detailed and accurate statistical analysis of noise, is portable, fillly automatic and easy to set up. It has a low manpower requirement.
