โฆ Synopsis
Thomas Clark Hinkle (1876โ1949) was an American novelist who specialized primarily in children's western dog and horse stories. He produced some 40 fiction titles and one non-fiction title. His children's books were frequently used as supplemental reading in schools in the 1940s and 1950s. This particular title was published posthumously, a year after Dr. Hinkle died.
Dapple Gray is a wild horse tamed by Charley Pratt in the ranching days of the old west. Charley treats his horse as a friend and companion and this pays off when Charley encounters the notorious cattle-killing bear, Black Grizzly.
