In an effort to maximize the effectiveness of subdural-peritoneal shunting for the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma in infants, the author developed a new shunt system. The characteristics of this shunt include a large-caliber catheter, a very low pressure slit valve, and a one-piece design wi
