Measurements of line positions and absolute linestrengths of (\mathrm{D}{2} \mathrm{O}) in the (\nu{2}) band were made with a Fourier-transform spectrometer at a resolution of (5 \times 10^{-3} \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). The measured line frequencies of (\mathrm{D}{2}{ }^{16} \mathrm{O}) and (\mathrm{D}{2}{ }^{18} \mathrm{O}) were used along with additional data taken from studies of pure rotational transitions in an analysis to obtain rotational energies of levels in the ((000)) and (010) states. Measurements of the linestrengths were fitted by least-syuares and the results are in excellent agreement with the 899 and 438 experimental transitions of (\mathrm{D}{2}{ }^{16} \mathrm{O}) and (\mathrm{D}{2}{ }^{18} \mathrm{O}), respectively, included in the analyses. These results provide a more accurate representation of the line positions and linestrengths for the ((010)-(0)(0)) ) band than that currently available. ac 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
