✦ Synopsis

Four new cytotoxic cembranoids, denoted as bipinnatins a-d, have been isolated from the gorgonian coral Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata. Their structures were determined through a combination of spectroscopic and x-ray crystallographic methods.

Until recently, few cembranoids had been reported from the gorgonian soft coral genus Pseuiopterogorgia.
