✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Lymphoid cell suspensions of MSV‐tumor‐bearing mice were studied in the cytostasis assay (CA) against syngeneic lymphoma cells in suspension. Pretreatment by anti‐θ serum and complement, carbonyl iron and a magnet, or filtration through antiimmunoglobulin‐coated glass bead columns shows that macrophages are probably the main effector cells of the cytostatic anti‐tumor effect demonstrated by the CA, which further illustrates the diversity of the anti‐tumor immune response in the MSV system.
