## Abstract We explored the feasibility of studying nuclear matrix protein (NMP) expressions of the hepatocytes in normal and cirrhotic rat livers with liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy. Sixteen Wistar healthy rats were studied with experimental liver regeneration and/or liver cirrhosis.

Laminin is a heterotrimeric glycoprotein found in the perisinusoidal space of adult rat liver. The principal cellular source of laminin in liver is the lipocyte, with its three subunits measuring 324,200 and 200 kD. The large subunit of lipocyte-derived laminin is distinct from the A subunit of mur
The glycolytic protein glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) appeared to be an archtypical protein of limited excitement. However, independent studies from a number of different laboratories reported a variety of diverse biological properties of the GAPDH protein. As a membrane protein, G
In normal rat liver, Kupffer cells were unequivocally identified using peroxidase cytochemistry by light microscopy in semithin plastic sections. The Kupffer cell population was found to constitute 31% of the sinusoidal cells and by morphometry and serial sectioning, a mean absolute number of 14 to
Pit cells are a unique population of cells in sinusoids and peripheral blood, which can be considered natural killer (NK) cells with large granular lymphocyte (LGL) morphology. The aim of this study was to investigate the use of the monoclonal antibody (MAb) 3.2.3 as a specific marker of rat pit cel
