## Abstract Epithelioid sarcoma (ES) is a rare malignant neoplasm of the soft tissues with a predilection for distal extremities of young adults. A “proximal” variant was recently described. The preoperative fine‐needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) differential diagnosis with necrotizing granuloma,
