β¦ Synopsis
Three Bellini duct carcinomas (BDC) of the kidney were cytogenetically analyzed after short-term culture. All three had clonal chromosome abnormalities: 9 I-92,XXY,-Y, + 12, + 12,-15,-16,-18, + mar (case I); 53,XY, + 2,t(2;7)(p22;q I I), + der(2)t (2;7)(p22;q I I ), + 3. + r(3),add( 5)(p I 5), + 7,-8, + I 2, + I 7, + r( I 7), + 20,-2 I (case 2); and 44-47,X.-Y, + 9, + 16, -2 I /46,XY. Some of the numerical abnormalities are shared with papillary renal cell carcinomas (PRCC)( + 7, + 12, + 16, + 17, and + 20) but not with transitional renal cell carcinomas. The present findings support the previous notion that BDC are different from other types of RCC.

Chromosome painting was used to determine the copy number and identity of virtually all the chromosomes in three breast cancer cell lines, T-47D, MDA-MB-361, and ZR-75-1. The karyotypes of all three cell lines were very complex, and were consistent with the monosomic pattern of evolution suggested b
## Abstract Carcinoma of the collecting ducts of Bellini (CCDB) is a rare histological type of renal cell carcinoma. This article describes the cytological features of CCDB in voided urine, confirmed on the basis of the histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The CCDB cells occurred singly in loos
Twenty-nine nonendocrine pancreatic carcinomas (20 primary tumors and nine metastases) were studied by chromosome banding after short-term culture. Acquired clonal aberrations were found in 25 tumors and a detailed analysis of these revealed extensive cytogenetic intratumor heterogeneity. Apart from
