✦ Synopsis
During the course of investigations on metabolism in protozoa, estimations were made of tlie cytochrome C, diphosphopyridine nucleotide, adenosine trjphosphatase, and glutathione content of tlie ciliate Colpidizmz cnmpylum. The role of these compouncls in metabolism is well known.
The organisms were grown in pure, sterile culture in 150 em3 Erlenineyer flasks containing 50 em3 of 3% Difco 'Tbc author wishes to express his sinrere gratitude to Dr. C . G. Wilber for ' U. R. Public IIealth Rerrice Fellow. constant encouragement and aid during the course of the inrestigation.
