✦ Synopsis
Cystitis cystica of the trigone may produce a localized, solid, intravesical soft tissue mass which, although readily visualized by sonography, may be difficult to distinguish from epithelial tumor. This report describes the sonographic findings and characteristics of cystitis cystica in two patients originally thought to have epithelial bladder tumors. Although similar in appearance, the homogeneous high-level specular-type echo consistency of cystitis cystica, in addition to its trigone location, should suggest this diagnosis.
