Abstract
The two‐dimensional charge‐control effect to dc and rf performances is studied for striped‐channel field‐effect transistors based on the cylindrical gate approximation. The present theory explains the transconductance enhancements as well as a flat noise figure dependence on the drain current, which have been experimentally observed for striped‐channel devices. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons.
