✦ Synopsis

A mild and efficient process has been developed for the synthesis of benzisoxazoles through the cycloaddition of benzynes and nitrile oxides. This method allows access to both (hetero)aromatic and alkenylsubstituted benzisoxazoles. Preliminary studies concerning regioselectivity are also reported.
