✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The system Sb(III)/Sb(0) has been investigated in 4 M HCl by cyclic voltammetry at a sitting mercury drop electrode. It was found that specific adsorption of the reactant Sb(III) occurs. This was confirmed by droptime measurements at a dropping mercury electrode. Other deviating features of the cyclic voltammetric curves can be explained by the convergent nature of the diffusion process within a spherical mercury electrode.
