Mesoporous titania and mesoporous silica±titania materials have been successfully synthesized by using organic compound urea as template (or pore-forming agent) via sol±gel reactions of tetrabutyl titanate alone and with tetraethyl orthosilicate, respectively, followed by removing the urea by extrac
