But Felix brings extra complications into what’s left of John’s life: Felix’s sister, Cat, who was once a great movie star, and her wicked husband Richard, who served as her producer. Richard has harnessed Cat’s vampiric energy to give himself eternal life, but his once great power has faded. He’s looking to stage a comeback—and John’s power is just what he needs.

John was prepared to die, but now the stakes are higher than his own life. He faces a fate worse than death—and even scarier, he may have found someone worth living for. But curses aren't so easy to break, and John must decide if a life with Felix is worth the fight.
