The only poor chapter in this section is the one on alcohol intoxication and withdrawal. Much of the material it contains is dealt with elsewhere, and several of the management regimens suggested would not be generally accepted.
The reading of this book is marred, to a substantial degree, by the number of printing errors present, amounting to as many as five or six obvious spelling mistakes and incomplete parentheses on one page.
On balance, however, this book can be recommended, and many sections will provide valuable information and reference material for clinicians and clinical chemists alike.
