## Abstract ## Background Bariatric laparoscopic surgery has been shown to lead to sustainable weight‐loss in obese individuals. Robotic‐assisted laparoscopic surgery is proposed as the next major evolution in minimally invasive surgery. This study systematically reviews the literature regarding t
