✦ Synopsis
We review our current perspective on the formation of the double pulsar J0737-3039. Pulsar J0737-3039B, the second-born pulsar, was formed from a low-mass helium star with pre-supernova mass in the range of 1.5-2.2 M . The formation was accompanied by a low kick velocity. It is also suggested that pulsar B was born via electron-capture supernova.
