✦ Synopsis
Experimental measurements are reported on the current distribution and potential profile at a thin wire anode of appreciable ohmic resistance under conditions where longitudinal potential drop in the electrolyte solution is minimized. The experiments have been designed to test previously published theories based on a well-defined model for the effects considered. Limiting cases treated previously are examined in the light of the experimental results.
