Nonlinear equations governing the relaxation of some macroscopic quantities, a(r, t) are derived using Kubo's response theory, in isolated inhomogeneous systems. The resulting equations contain microcanonical time correlation functions. It is shown how to express these in terms of arbitrary ensemble
