✦ Synopsis
The temperature and field dependences of the critical current have been investigated for laser sputtered superconducting YBa2Cu307_ ~ films. These dependences were found to be similar to that of usual type II superconductors. Flux pinning seems to occur at grain boundaries due to anisotropy of superconducting properties. At higher field range the volume pinning force is probably determined by the shear of flux line lattice.

High magnetic field (0.5 T to 9 T) measurements of the in-plane transport critical current density Jc of YBa2Cu307 at liquid nitrogen temperature are reported as a function of the orientation of magnetic field B with respect to the a,b-plane. In contrast to earlier results at lower fields (< 3 T), t
