CUNO EXTENDS EAST COAST MARKETING FOCUS
Cuno Incorporated is expanding its marketing activities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Through a strategic agreement with its long-time distributor, New Jersey-based Process Equipment & Supply Co (Pesco), Cuno will market its products directly in the territory previously serviced by this distributor. As part of the agreement, Cuno has acquired certain operating assets from Pesco. The parties have agreed to a brief transition period allowing Cuno to assume complete sales responsibility in this territory. Actual terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"This represents a significant opportunity for Cuno to work more closely with its customers in this attractive market which includes a number of large pharmaceutical and chemical companies who typically prefer to deal directly 16 with the manufacturer," said Mark Kachur, president and chief executive officer of Cuno. The company has appointed Gerald McKeon to serve as area manager for this region.
