## Abstract The diazepam binding inhibitor (DBI), alternatively known as the acylโ€CoA binding protein (ACBP), is involved in multiple biological actions. The polypeptide binds to the peripheral, or mitochondrial, benzodiazepine receptor and facilitates transport of cholesterol to the inner membrane
