The dinuclear molecule of p-{[(Me 3 Si) 2 CH]Sn(Cl) 2 CH 2 SiMe 2 } 2 C 6 H 4 is centrosymmetric and adopts an `S' conformation that is stabilized by intramolecular CรHรรรp interactions. The tin atom exists within a distorted tetrahedron defined by a C 2 Cl 2 donor set.

โฆ Synopsis
The dinuclear molecule of [(Me 3 SiCH 2 )Cl 2 Sn] 2 (CH 2 ) 3 adopts an extended conformation and features distorted tetrahedral tin centres, with the greatest distortion manifested in the CรSnรC angles of approximately 128 ยฐ. The distortions are ascribed to the influence of intermolecular SnรรรCl interactions.
